Experience
I have lived and worked in 5 different countries. I studied in a full English, worked as a teacher, and operated as a marketing professional in top-tier American and European companies, where English and Spanish were equally spoken. I currently focus on two areas when it comes to tutoring: language and business. I have been an English teacher and I have helped students in different countries, with different age ranges, and expertise levels. These include children, adolescents, and adults with basic, intermediate, and advance knowledge. I also led the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) preparation course. I was awarded "Teacher of the Month" on several occasions. I am proficient in both English and Spanish, and I have received academic prizes and recognitions in both languages. When I graduated, I was awarded the "Prince Phillip" shield, a distinction provided by the British Ambassador to the institution's single student that excelled in all areas of personal development, encompassing academics, sports, and extracurriculars. My qualifications: As an English teacher: • I was formally an English teacher at Academia Europea in El Salvador, Central America. The Academia Europea is the Central American Leader in Language Teaching at a classroom level. I taught English at Advance, Intermediate and Basic levels to Adults, Adolescents and Children. I was awarded “Teacher of the Month” on several occasions, and received letters of recommendation directly from the institution’s General Manager. • I taught English at The Boston Institute in the Dominican Republic, Caribbean. The Boston Institute was a leading institution in Language Teaching at a classroom level. I taught Advance, Intermediate and Basic levels to Adults, Adolescents and Children. I also led the very selective TOEFL specialized training course for adults who wanted to study or work in the United States. I was awarded “Teacher of the Month” on several occasions, and was offered additional responsibilities and growth opportunities inside the institution. In business: • I have over 20 years of experience in business. I have crafted and implemented business plans, installed new operations for large multinationals, hired people and structured teams, created and launched new products, developed marketing and communication plans. I have managed budgets, and generated bottom-line profits.

Hobbies
My current hobbies/interests include reading, teaching, coaching, playing sports, and doing business. With regards to learning, I use formal and informal sources. I love audiobooks, the Khan Academy, and apps like Coursera. Teaching is a way for me to "give" (knowledge/tools/self-confidence) and stay in tuned with society's break-throughs. Every class I teach carries behind a level of study and preparation, that helps someone else thrive. Let's start the journey!
